Introducing: The Braided Boho Bag (a free pattern!)
Today I’m adding a new pattern to my shop, and it’s free! The Braided Boho Bag is a great basic bag with a twist. The braided handle elevates it from simple to stylish. It is available in two sizes, small and large, and can be made in either woven or knit fabric! This pattern is rated for beginners, but can also be enjoyable for more experienced sewers with the use of a variety of fabrics. The Braided Boho Bag makes great Christmas gifts! I use my large sized tote as my Sunday bag because it can fit my binder, wallet, diapers, toddler snacks, toddler sippy cup, plus more! My daughters love the small size in both woven and knit because it’s just the right size for them.
If you would like to see a video sewalong of the Braided Boho Bag, don’t forget that I’m speaking at the Sewing Summit 2019. You can sign up for free and watch the video on Tuesday, November 19th. It’s available for 24 hours for free, and then you can pay for an All Access pass to see that class and the 30+ other classes at any time.
The pattern features braided handles, but there are also instructions on basic handles too. The braided handles can be made to the perfect length for your needs.
I threw this pattern at my testing team very last minute, but thankfully I still had testers able to help out on a short time frame.
Glenys Binstead made the small size in cotton. She was able to use some fun ring handles in the top casing. Lori Peoples made the small size in lovely cork! Kirsty Bucholz used chains instead of braids. I love how many possibilities there are!
Maxine MacNeill used vinyl and a gorgeous print for her size large bag. Kim Burch used a great cotton print and fun multi-colored strap!
Thanks again to my awesome testers! Go download your own free copy! Please also join my Facebook group to share your finished bags or find out what’s up with Toriska. I also share all my sewing makes on Instagram.
