Last week I finished up shooting and editing my eleventh Sewing Summit. I’ve been involved in these from the very beginning several years ago when Rebecca Page of Rebecca Page Patterns began them. I always loved the concept—a week of sewing tutorials, multiple classes a day, free the day of and paid if you wanted access to the videos afterwards. It was not without kinks, but they seemed to mostly smooth them out as time went on.

Read MoreGlancing back at my sewing since I last posted, I have not actually done a lot of projects compared what I normally do. I think the biggest reason is that I teach an early morning scripture study class to the high schoolers at church, and I am always tired. But I did manage to make some fun Halloween costumes, pretty Christmas dresses, and a few other things. Plus I made stockings for my seasonal stocking business.
Read MoreIn my last entry I mentioned that I will be taking part in another Rebecca Page Sewing Summit. Well, it is starting next week on November 29th! It goes through December 3rd. I don’t know yet which day my class will be. If you’ve never heard of the Sewing Summits, they are a fun opportunity to watch several dozen free classes by sewing experts all over the world. This Summit’s theme is Holiday Crafts, and my class teaches how to make these cute little cutlery stockings.
